Holiday makers in hot water after taking stones from Cornish beach

Several holiday makers have ended up in hot water after taking stones from Crackington Haven beach, near Bude.

One 'pebble thief' was forced to drive hundreds of miles to avoid paying a £1,000 fine.

The parish council have put up signs telling beachgoers that they mustn't take stones off the beach as it can cause erosion.
